Isaac Visoutsy is a passionate, optimistic, and hardworking violinist and teacher based in the greater Los Angeles area. His passion for music began when he joined his middle school orchestra. Isaac auditioned for and was admitted to the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts where his adoration for music continued to grow. Isaac had no formal music training until his senior year of high school, by which time his family had moved to California. He was accepted at California State University, Fullerton where he began studying with his first teacher, Dr. Ernest Salem. Later on, Isaac was the recipient of the Yamaha Strings Award and a prize winner in the School of Music Concerto Competition. He has participated in masterclasses for renowned concertmasters such as Jorja Fleezanis and Glenn Dicterow, and acclaimed soloists like Haik Kazazyan, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and many more.
In the summer of 2023, Isaac was a violin fellow at the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colorado, where they played over eighteen symphonic concerts in just eight weeks. Over the last seven years, Isaac has been fortunate to play under the batons of conductors such as Carl St. Clair, Michael Stern, Joann Falleta, Rob Kapilow, and Tania Miller to name a few. Isaac is a passionate chamber musician and has performed a wide range of pieces from violin duos to string octets, piano trios, quartets, and quintets and even the very unique Prokofiev oboe quintet. His most influential collaborative mentor’s include Jan Talich of the Talich Quartet, Domenic Salerni of the Attacca Quartet, Brian Chen (a previous member of the Formosa Quartet), and pianist Ning An with whom Isaac studied collaborative playing with pianists.
Isaac plays regularly with the Mozart Classical Orchestra in Laguna Beach, CA. He was also a section violinist for the American Youth Symphony from 2022-2024. He also plays regularly with regional orchestras such as the Whittier Regional Symphony. Isaac is a dedicated violin teacher and enjoys preparing his students for competitions, auditions, and recitals. He recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in performance from CSU Fullerton and is currently working towards his master’s degree in violin performance from UCLA studying under Varty Manouelian and Movses Pogossian. In his free time, Isaac loves playing chess, cooking for his loved ones, and taking care of his many plants.
